Mitsukurina owstoni goblin shark

Mitsukurina owstoni aka the Goblin Shark is a species of deep water shark often referred to as a Living Fossil due to it's primitive characteristics, and the fact that all other species in it's family of Mitsukurinidae are considered extinct. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has assessed it as Least Concern, citing its wide distribution and low incidence of capture.
